Obituary

Harper, Melville Alexander-
After a long courageous battle, Mel passed away October 1, 2020 at the age of 66 at Sault Area Hospital. Beloved father of Lyle Harper (David John Kioke) and Seynthia Harper. Loving, caring Poppa of Ruby Harper. Loving son of the late William and Ruby Harper. Dedicated loving brother of Maxwell Harper, Pauline Costello (late Vern), Kirk Harper, Tammy Harper Peterson, late Forst (Frosty) Harper, late Walter Harper (Nancy), late Arlene Erdman and late Nora Boland.
Mel was a hard worker who enjoyed working and put in over 30 years at Algoma Steel (Tube Mill Dept. Mel loved to cook and shared his recipes. He loved hunting, fishing, and building anything. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone that needed it. Mel’s slogan was, “if you want it, well built, you want it Mel built”. He had a huge heart and loved playing tricks on people. He was out “one” and only Mel! You are loved, will be missed but never forgotten!! Heaven is truly beautiful. Just you wait and see. So, live your life, love, laugh again, enjoy yourself, be free. That I know with every breath you take; you’ll be taking one for me. Love you Mel
There will be no funeral service. Inurnment at family plot at west Korah Cemetery will take place.
Donations to Sault Area Hospital or Sault Area Hospital Cancer Care Fund would be appreciated.
