James "Jimmy" Mancuso
March 22, 1961 - August 20, 2019
Sadly the Mancuso family announces the passing of James "Jimmy" Mancuso beloved husband of Amporn "Pon" Mancuso (Thailand) and dear son of Margaret and the late Ottavio Mancuso. Beloved brother of Tony (Pam), Michael and uncle of Mark Mancuso and Melissa Mancuso (Jeff Irwin). Jimmy will be also greatly missed by his dear Uncle Carmine and Aunt Tina Mancuso, his Aunt Beatrice (late Settimio) and many cousins local and long distance. Jimmy's love of Asian culture brought him to Bangkok Thailand where he taught English to children and met the love of his life Pon whom he married in January 2007. He was also the proud creator and publisher of the local Soo Profile Magazine. The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors in the ICU at the Sault Area Hospital. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to ARCH and or Holy Family Church. Family and friends are invited to O’Sullivan Funeral Home (215 St. James St, corner on Cathcart and St. James St) on Monday August 26, 2019 from 1 – 3 p.m. A funeral service will follow in the chapel at 3 p.m.

Dear Mancuso family,
I am so saddened to learn about James's passing. James was a very creative and caring individual. As Director of Education, I contracted with James to visit elementary classes in the Huron-Superior Catholic DSB to provide art lessons. The children loved James. He inspired them and made being involved in the arts a memorable experience. In my dining area, I have a painting by James (and signed by James) of a Thai man in a boat (obviously in Thailand). He told me that he had painted the picture for the Prime Minister of Thailand but decided to give it to me instead. How honoured and appreciative I am!!
Know that James touched many, many lives in a very positive manner - probably, even encouraged children to become more involved in the arts!
I will miss James very much!
Please accept my condolences. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
(Dr.) Cecile Somme
Note: I didn't take a good picture but wanted to share James's work.

Sincere condolences to the Mancuso family.

James and I attended St. Mary's College together. He was a great guy with a generous nature and a true heart of an artist. His voice and humour are unforgettable. I hope that in this time of grief you will take some comfort in knowing that Jim’s goodness and gentle nature will not be forgotten.
