Print
With great sadness and heavy hearts the family of Maurene (Betty) announce her passing, on October 5th, 2018, just months shy of her 80th birthday, in her usual style, with grace and dignity, after a short but brave, battle with cancer and Alzheimer's disease. Betty leaves behind the love of her life Dale, her children, Tracey Busque (Mike), Craig, Kristyn, and Spencer (late Lindsay). Her adoring grandchildren, Simone Fisico (Ryan), Stephane Busque (Cem), Cody Watson (Chelsea), Ryley Lypps, Evan and Glenn Driver, special Gramma Betty to Samantha and Alexander Wood. Beloved Munga Betty to great grandson Brendan. Her brothers Ken White (Marg), Bob White (Darlene), sister Barb Evans (Ron), and brother Gary White (Stella). Loved sister in law to Perry Lypps (Hazel), Doug Lypps (Donna), Amy LaForce (Ron), and Phyllis Heshner. She was a loving aunt to 15 and great aunt to many more. The family wishes to extend a very heartfelt thank you to Amy (Bayshore), Rita Mannarino and the palliative care team. To all the staff at ARCH and to the many friends and neighbours who have kept Betty and Dale in their thoughts and hearts these past few months. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Ann Kokkinen and Vivian Hall for their love and kindness at this time. Many thanks for all the smiles, and laughs provided by Heather Grant. To honor of Betty's wishes, a private family service will be held at Maple Leaf Cemetery in Echo Bay. Memorial contributions can be made in lieu of flowers the Alzheimer's Society, Canadian Cancer Society, ARCH or Northern Critters in Need would be greatly appreciated.
