After a long struggle Mom quietly passed away with her family by her side at the Ontario Finnish Resthome MKK on Friday, August 3, 2018, six weeks short of her 87th birthday. She was predeceased by her husband Nyle (2016) of 66 years. Predeceased by her parents Jack and Emily Turner (Wyatt). Survived by her children Sue Barr (Dale), Jody (Patti), Pam Cook (Allen) and Stephen (Melanie). Nana of Curtis Hambly (Kim Dwyer), Claire Jarrell (Matt), Corey Cook (Melissa), Carly Davey (Blake), Ben Hambly (Kathleen), Lia Hambly (Kevin), Rachel Hambly (Dylan), and Hannah Hambly. Great Nana of Maddy, Makensy, Mitchell and Miller Jarrell, Hunter Cook, Kaiya Davey, Mikayla Hambly, Rylie Hambly, Elinor and Sloan Hambly-Quinte, and Sterling and Xavier Reid. Survived by her brothers and sisters, John Turner (Shirley), Ken Turner (Helen), Chuck Turner (late Evedine), Elane Turner, late Ann Wilson (Delmar (Dot), and Brenda Frayn (Chuck). Predeceased by her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Muriel Fremlin (late Bill) and Beverly Hambly (late Jennie). Survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. A private burial has taken place at the West Korah Cemetery. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to all the staff at the Finnish Resthome for all their compassion and care of Mom. Without them we could never have done it. They are truly “Angels”. If so desired donations to the new Finnish Nursing Home MKK or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
