The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Francesco Turchet can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Gastone Barban

It is with sadness that I pass on sincere condolences and deepest sympathies to my Zia Lisetta, cousins Enzo (Geri) and Susan (George) and their children on the passing of dearest Zio Chechi. I cannot begin to recount the long relationship I had with my uncle. He and my father were brothers-in-law, business partners and neighbours. I spent almost my entire youth in close contact with him, working with Friuli Contractors, making wine, grappa and salami each year, enjoying family picnics and gatherings, and having countess conversations with him. He was an excellent carpenter and problem-solver. He was a smart and very talented man whom I admired greatly. Francesco Turchet was the uncle I knew best and he was my favourite. I respected him and will hold many fond memories of him. Sincerely, Gastone Barban, with shared condolences from Jane, Matthew and Alicia
