Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Joseph Hyska can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Joseph Carl Hyska
Peacefully with his best friend and loving wife of 62 years, Emma Jane by his side on July 8, 2017. Much loved father of Mark and Kathy-Jo Hyska. Devoted and proud Papa of Jeremy (Jocelyn) Smith, Curtis Smith (Aislinne), Corey Smith (Courtney) and Sierra (Dave) Belanger. Adored great grandfather of Graison, Brynlea and Aubrey. Joe will be dearly missed by his loving sister Lorna (late Paul) Taillefer, his nieces, nephews and friends at the Finnish Rest Home. Joe’s family would like to thank his many caregivers for their excellent care and companionship shown to him during his time at Mauno Kaihla Koti. As per his wishes, a private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Finnish Nursing Home (Mauno Kailha Koti) or the charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.

Thank you for showing us how to be a courageous strong, loving and loyal husband, father and papa.
