Obituary for Harold James McGrayne

Harold James McGrayne
Peacefully on April 8, 2017 at ARCH Hospice, surrounded by his loving family, Harold McGrayne Jr., passed into the arms of his Saviour, Jesus Christ, and to be reunited with his loving parents, the late Harold and Caroline McGrayne. Treasured soulmate of Vicki McGrayne. Loving father of Marty (Laura) and Jason (fiancé Kristy) McGrayne, who were his most precious gifts. Proud grandpa of Karl, Kaylyn, and Kaleb. Great grandfather of Isabella. Beloved brother of Phillina Kohlbacher (late Herman), Les McGrayne (Joanne), Veronica Lukkarila (Simo), Colleen Hocking (Tony), late John Belanger (Doris), Louise McGuire (Tom), late David Belanger (Doris), Philip Belanger (Maxine) and Ernest Belanger. Special uncle of many nieces and nephews. He will also be fondly remembered by the Lindback family. Harold was a gentle soul, who will be remembered by many for his kindness, sense of humour, generosity and unselfish acts. He took great pleasure in helping others, whenever possible, and will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him. Harold’s family would like to thank Dr. Booth, and all of the wonderful and caring staff at ARCH Hospice, who treated Harold with the utmost respect and dignity, during his time there. Thanks also goes out to Dr. Waymouth and the staff of Maple View Extendicare and the Great Northern Nursing Centre, who made his stay there comfortable. Friends may call at O'Sullivan Funeral Home & Cremation Center (Corner of Cathcart and St. James St.) on Tuesday April 11, 2017 from 6:00 pm until 9:00pm. Funeral Mass at St. Gerard Majella Church on Wednesday April 12, 2017 at 11:30 am with Rev. Francis Ezenezi officiating. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery to follow. In lieu of flowers due to Holy Week, memorial donations to ARCH (Algoma Residential Community Hospice) would be appreciated by the family.
