CAIN, Edward James (Jim)

Edward James Cain, unexpectedly but peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital December 31, 2016, in his 79th year. Devoted husband to Patricia (Piche) for 58 years. Cherished father and teacher to his children Brian (JoAnn), Robert, Janette (Ken) and Edward (Chantal). Grandfather of 5, great grandfather of 9 and Papa to his extended family and many foster children. Jim was born on St. Joseph Island to Edgar and Ellen Cain. Predeceased by his siblings Catherine (late Lloyd). Mary Ellen, Clayton (Janette) and Clarence. Brother-in-law to the late Juliette (late Andy), late Delores (Leo Lajoie), late Raymond (late Marilyn), Mary Lou Hess (late Otto) and David (Diana). Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Besides his family, his one great love was his work, until recently he was an active member and mentor of the Cain Trucking staff. As per Jim's request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Memorial donations to the Sault Area Hospital Community Cancer Clinic would be appreciated. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Leahy and the exceptional staff of the Sault Area Hospital Emergency Department.
