Robert Phillip  Lecomte
Passed away peacefully at the Trillium Ridge Nursing Home in Kingston, Ontario, on Friday November 11, 2016, in his 90th year. Predeceased by his loving wife Helen, of 51 years. Beloved father of Mary Claire, Robert (Nancy), Phillip (Pauline), and Monique. Grandfather to Michael, Alexandra, and Breanne. Survived by sister Celine and predeceased by sisters Therese and Jacqueline. Robert enjoyed working as a machinist at Algoma Steel for more than 30 years. He had a zest for music and sang with a strong bass voice in various church and community choirs. He was also a long time blood donor. Robert was involved in the community as president of the local Algoma Steel Retirees for many years, was a member of of the Senior Health Advisory, and engaged in many activities at the Steelton Seniors Centre. Family and friends may call at O’Sullivan Funeral Home and Cremation Centre (Corner of Cathcart and St. James St.) on Wednesday November 16, 2016 for visitation from 6:00pm-9:00pm. Funeral Mass to be held on Thursday November 17, 2016 at 11:30am at St. Gregory’s Church (71 Estelle St.) with Father Alex Saurianthadathil officiating. Interment in Holy Sepulchre to follow. In lieu of flowers, friends may make donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada. Online donations can be made at www.alzheimer.ca/donateinmemory.
