Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Wilfred Stevens can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Wilfred Harold "Wilf"  Stevens
At ARCH, with his family by his side on Friday November 11, 2016, Wilfred Stevens at the age of 68. Loving husband of Dana Stevens. He will be remembered by his children Lisa Hebert (Allan), Jim (Sarah) and Paul. Papa of Dylan, Shaun, Carly, Tristan and Chase. Predeceased by his parents Leonard and Gladys Stevens, and his dear uncle Stan Stevens. Brother of Clive (Faye), Carrie McPhee (late Bob), Harvey (Mary), Edwin (Ruth), Sharon Farquhar (Gene), Wesley (Sharon) and Calvin (Julie). Son in law of the late Mary and Hector Nelson. Brother in law of the late Ralph (Marilyn), Bobby (Linda)(late Rose), Betty Cruickshank (Jim), Nancy Hachey (Francis), Charles (Jeanie). Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Wilfred will be remembered by his friends Tom and Lori Desjardins, as well as the many trappers, hunters, and anglers that Wilf met over the years as an avid outdoorsman, and the many friends he made as a long time Soo Greyhounds season ticket holder. Friends may call to O’Sullivan Funeral Home and Cremation Centre (Corner of Cathcart and St. James Sts.) on Friday November 18, 2016 from 6pm – 9pm. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday November 19, 2016 at 11:30am at the Hilton Beach Community Centre. In honour of Wilf please dress casual. Wilf was a Hilton Beach council member for 27 years and mayor of Hilton Beach for 7 years. One of his main projects was the restoration of the Hilton Beach Jail, he would like the project to be completed. Donations in his memory may be made to the Hilton Beach Jail Fund, ARCH or the Matthews Memorial Hospital Auxillary and would be appreciated by the family. The family would like to thank the staff at the Sault Area Hospital, ARCH, special mention to nurse Amy, Dr. Booth, Dr. Lupinen and Dr. Bellar for the care given to Wilf.
