Obituary for Gyula Laszlo

Peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital, surrounded by his daughters, on Thursday May 26, 2016. Loving father of Ildiko (Miguel) Laszlo and Marianne Laszlo. Grandfather of Isabella. Gyula will be missed by his caring friend Ercelle. Gyula was born in Budapest Hungary and immigrated to Wawa in 1956 and then finally settled and made is his life in Sault Ste. Marie. He was so proud to be an award winning chef. His biggest accomplishment was fishing in the Arctic Ocean, which he did twice. As the Dr.’s and nurses would say at the hospital, he was the most entertaining patient, telling his humorous jokes to all. Gyula’s family would like to thank the Dr.’s, nurses and staff of 3C of the Sault Area Hospital, along with Dr. Fera, Dr. Parent and Dr. “J”. A special thank you to Susan McClelland for her care. As per Gyula’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation will take place. Donations may be made directly to the Sault Area Hospital or the CNIB and would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to O’Sullivan Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 215 St. James St, 705-759-8456.
