Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Jarmo Keranen can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Jarmo Keranen

Unexpectedly at Health Sciences North in Sudbury on June 1, 2016, Jarmo Keranen at the age of 64. Born in Hyrynsalmi Finland on August 11, 1951. Survived by his loving and caring wife Anna-Maria. Much loved Isi to Mark (Carey), Melissa (Nello) and Mika (Maija). Fun loving Pappa to Cody, Bryanna, Erica, Luukas and Leah. He will be sadly missed by his brothers Jari (Elsi), Juha (Veronica), Sam (Margit), Pasi (Mirja), Danny (Lisa) and sister Marjo (Mikko). Brother in Law to Tapani (Phylllis) and nephew and cousin to family in Finland. Son of late Leo and Anna Keranen. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Family and Friends may call at O’ Sullivan Funeral Home and Cremation Centre (corner of Cathcart and St. James St.) on Monday June 6, visitation will be from 5-8pm. Memorial service will be held June 7th at 2:00pm at Lifespring Church, 891 Peoples Rd with Pastor Matt Suopera officiating. The family would like to thank Dr. A Lee, Dr. Barry, Dr. Shafiee, Dr. Spadafora, Dr. Amhalhal, Renal Staff & Shirley Pulkinen, Jennifer Hendrie, Triesta at CCAC and Jarmo’s homecare nurses. He had so many health issues to overcome but he never wanted to give up. He was a strong man and fought till the end to live for his family. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to Kidney Foundation, Heart & Stroke or any charity of your choice.
