Obituary for Boc Khong

We are very sad to announce the death of Boc Khong, loving husband, father and grandfather. Boc, 85, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at home in Ancaster, ON, after a courageous battle with bladder cancer. He was born on February 17, 1931 in Saigon, Vietnam. He is survived by his wife Lien, children Yen (Huy), Oanh (Zdzislaw), and Binh (Michael), and grandchildren Andrew (Anita), Elizabeth (Cody), and Magdalene (Robert). Boc was a very hard working man who was proud he was able to provide for his family after coming to Canada as a refugee at age 48. He provided 16 years of service to both Sault Marine Service and Algoma Steel. After retiring, Boc enjoyed taking Lien for coffee everyday at the Station Mall. He will be greatly missed and will forever be in the hearts and minds of his family. The family is grateful for all the help it received in caring for Boc at home, including from the palliative physicians, nurses, and personal support workers.
