Obituary for Stephanie Broadhagen

Stephanie Broadhagen
It is with the deepest sadness that we announce the passing of Stephanie Lynn Broadhagen on Monday, September 26, 2016 at the age 46 with her family by her side. Best friend and forever partner of Bernie McCaig, loving and inspiring mother to Brandon and his fiancé Nicole Taylor. Daughter of Donna and the late Wilfred Broadhagen; lovingly brought into this world by Diane Moss. Dearest sister of Kale and sister in law of Melanie McCaig (Brian Hayes). Cherished daughter in law of Gale and the late Bernard McCaig. Stephanie was also blessed to have additional sisters and brothers In her life and was especially close with Jessica. Stephanie will be greatly missed by dear friends Terry and Belinda Junor and their family, as well as many dear friends, aunts, uncles and cousins that are too numerous to list from all over the world. Stephanie was a fighter, battling cystic fibrosis, cancer and the side effects from her double lung transplant in 1999. She was an inspiration to so many people and always gave back, whether it was working with the Civitan clubs, or volunteering for a wide variety of charities all close to her heart, ranging from Cancer, organ donor awareness, Diabetes and Kidney Foundations. She never stopped giving back, inspired by the gift she received. Stephanie taught us all through her strength and determination to live every day to it's fullest, to never give up and to not take any one or thing for-granted. This determination was addictive and everyone who got to know her will be forever inspired. Our family would like to thank the entire medical staff at the Toronto General Hospital who befriended Stephanie and the family over many years and who were with us all to the end. You all know who you are, and your dedication and friendship went well beyond the typical patient/caregiver relationship and for that we cannot thank you enough. To all the Toronto friends who became family, your friendships are the most precious gift that will last forever. The family would also like to take a moment to thank all who have sent their love, support and condolences. Please join us in remembering Stephanie and celebrating her life on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at the Richards Landing Old Town Hall, 1211 Richards Landing, St. Joseph Island, from 4 to 8 pm.

We will love and cherish our angel forever xo.
