Passed away peacefully at Extendicare Mapleview on Monday, June 22, 2015 in his 90th year. Derio will be lovingly remembered by his children Pino, Paul (Mary-Anne Parent) and Angela (Paul) McLeary. Nonno to Anthony, Matthew and Natalie McLeary. He will also be remembered by the mother of his children Domenica Arcipretino. Brother of Nina (Carlo) Dalzilio and Concetta (late Domenico) Niro. Derio was a caring uncle to many nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his many friends and his barber shop clientele. Family and friends may call at O’Sullivan Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (Corner of Cathcart and St. James) on Monday, June 29, 2015 from 11:30am-1:30pm. Funeral mass at Holy Family Parish (208 Prentice) at 2:00pm with Father Veselko Kvesic officiating. Entombment in Holy Sepulchre Mausoleum to follow. The family would like to thank the staff, nurses and doctors at Extendicare Mapleview, Donna Dufresne-Dixon and Shane Dickson. Memorial donation can be made in Derio’s memory in trust to O’Sullivan Funeral Home for Chase’s Transplant Journey, a local 12 year old boy in need of a kidney transplant.
