Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Wilfred Ritchie can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Wilfred Ritchie

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our father, grandfather and best friend. Wilfred Ritchie at the F. J. Davey home on Friday, May, 23, 2014. Husband of the late Lily Ritchie. Loving father of Lucien Ritchie, Monelda Edwards (Bud), Gerald Bennett, Marilyn Jones (Ken), Debby Waters (Wendell) and predeceased by Georgette Ritchie, Ronald Ritchie and Harvey Ritchie (Darlene). Cherished Grandfather to Jennifer, Bill, David, Robert, Johanne, Patricia, Lynn, Brian, Shirley, Colleen, Claudette, Russell, Savannah, Kelly, Kim and predeceased by Vincent. Dear great grandfather to Dillon, Alexandra, Davey, Charlotte, Seth, Amber, Tony and Megan. Adoring, Great great grandfather to Kyra, Ryder, Maisen, Zoey, Caius, Nevaeh, and Ivy. Dear son of the late Melanie and Amedee Richer. Brother to Rheal, Leo, predeceased by Lorette, Emile, Clara and Isadore. Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. He will be missed dearly. Family and friends may call at O'Sullivan Funeral Home and Cremation Center, (corner of Cathcart and St. James Sts.), Monday, May 26, 2014 from 10am until 12pm., followed by a luncheon at 12pm until time of service at 1pm in the chapel with Mrs. Helen Smith officiating. Followed by interment at Pine Grove Cemetery, Thessalon. In Lieu of flowers, donations to the F.J. Davey Home would be appreciated. Special thanks to all the staff at the F.J. Davey Home for their special care and concern always. Dad we will miss you dearly, but you are now in a better place. May you rest in peace. We love you, the family.
