Peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital, with his family by his side on Saturday July 29, 2017 Walter Nowitski in his 84th year. Father of Kathleen, Wayne (Jim), Wendy (Al) Heon and Cyndie (Hani) Fayed. Grandpa of Felecia (Eric), Jason (Colleen), Sara, Ramsey, Andrew, Matthieu and Charelle. Great grandpa to Jackie, Danielle, Jacob, Noah and Tammy. Walter will be fondly missed by the mother of his children and his best friend Lucy. Predeceased by his parents Stephan and Mary Nowitski. Brother of Mike, Anne, Effie, Rose and Caroleen and predeceased by Pauline, Amelia, Johnny and Elizabeth. Uncle to Michael Poirier and many nieces and nephews. A Come and Go Celebration of Life will be held at O’Sullivan Funeral Home and Cremation Centre (Corner of Cathcart & St. James St.) on Thursday August 3, 2017 from 6:00pm-7:30pm. Donations in Walter’s memory may be made to the Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society and would be appreciated by his family. The family would like to thank the Sault Area Hospital Doctors and nurses for the care and compassion given to Walter.
