Obituary for Harvey James Stanley

Our mighty oak fell in the forest, on MondayAugust 11, 2014, at ARCH, after a well fought battle against cancer, Harvey James Stanley in his 77th year. He is survived by his wife Eileen, daughter Cindy (Les) Dunbar, step children Nicole (Chris) Walker and Matthew (Mary) Corbett. Harvey was grandfather to Rejean (friend Gerica), Brittany Hillis and Mya and Maggie Corbett. He was great grandfather to Kerri Hillis. Brother to Beven (Joanne) Stanley and Shirl Zimmer. Harvey is survived by his father-in-law Stan Gronskis and is brother-in-law to Judy Stanley, Frank (friend Lisa), Dorothy(Lorenzo) Fabbri, and many nieces, nephews and friends. Harvey was predeceased by his first wife Marlene, siblings; Cliff, Ronnie, Vi, Bunty, Sheila, and other close family. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Harvey's life will take place at the Delta on Monday August 25 from 5-8pm. All are invited to attend this casual affair. Donations to the Humane Society, SAH, or ARCH may be made in Harvey's memory by cheque at the celebration. The family would like to give heartfelt thanks to Bayshore, ARCH, and all family and friends who supported Harvey and his family during his illness.
