Peacefully surrounded by his family at the SAH on Friday August 15, 2014, Giuseppe Medaglia in his 81st year.Beloved husband of Victoria for 57 years. Loving father of Maria, Ida (Rick) Lotman, Ross (Santina), Sam (Rosa), Lisa (Eugene) Minosora, and Joanne. Grandfather to Ryan and Sarah Sloan, Erica and John Lotman, Ross and Joshua Medaglia, Victoria and Joseph Medaglia and Christopher and Emily Minosora. Giuseppe was pre deceased by his parents Rosario and Concetta Medaglia. Brother to the late Maria Sicoli (late John), late Rosa Speelman (late Leone), Carmello (Maria), and Eugenio (Antonia) of Italy. Giuseppe was son-in-law to the late Francesco and Rosa Medaglia. Brother-in-law to Rosa (late Antonio) Cicerelli of Italy, Anna (late Rosario) Polito, Ida (Pasquale) Iacoe of Italy, Maria Calvano (late Gino), Sesta Guzzo (late Luigi), Settima Amendola (John), Raffaela Medaglia, Ralph (Rose ) Medaglia, Elia Kruschack (Beno) and the late John. Giuseppe was uncle to many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. The Medaglia family would like to thank the community for their support of Medaglia Shoe Company, which Giuseppe founded. His hard work and dedication of making the shoes for his customers was his joy and passion. Family and friends may call at O'Sullivan Funeral Home and Cremation Centre (corner of Cathcart and St. James St.) Tuesday August 19, 2014 from 10am-1pm. Funeral Mass at St. Gregory's' Church at 1:30pm, with Father Alex Saurianthadathil Officiating. Donations to St. Gregory' Church or the SAH would be appreciated by the family.
