The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Elda Brescain can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Elda Pia Brescain

It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Elda Pia Brescacin, surrounded by Judy, Michelle, Claude, Larry and Anna at the Sault Area Hospital on Friday September 9, 2016 at the age of 85. Much loved mother to Judy (Claude) Clément and Michelle (Dave) Acciavatti. Loving daughter of the late Antonio and Teresa Brescacin. Sister of the late Catherine (Angelo) Francheschini, late Mary (Robert) Santa Maria and sadly more recently Irma (Sante) Massolin. Elda so very much adored her niece Anna Massolin, her caring nephew Larry Johnston Jr. and Eugene Massolin, her nephew, who she always said was a joker, just like her. Elda’s unconditional love included all animals. Close to her heart were Bogie, Lucky, Melo, Stewart and Bogart. Tiny Elda had a big heart. She touched so many lives. On her walks and travels she brought joy and smiles with her jokes and her one liners. Elda will be missed so much by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family sends love and appreciation to each and every one at the SAH ICU. Rev. Sam Norbo, Claranne McFarling and Sr. Stephanie Romiti for Ministering to Mom. You skillfully and lovingly provided so much comfort and warmth to Elda and to us. A private family service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society and would be appreciated by the family.
