Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Doris Tjulpin can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Doris Violette Tjulpin (Roy Rieck)

It is with great sadness that the family of Doris announce her sudden and unexpected passing at the Sault Area Hospital, at the age of 97 years and 21 days. By her side were her daughter Tanya, granddaughter Brittney and her grandson Zack. Doris was a wonderful, loving, caring mother to 3 children, grandmother of 10, and great grandmother (Granny) to 14, and friend to many many people. She will be forever loved and remembered by her children; Robert Rieck (Rita), June Karja and Tanya Mills (Tony Chiarella). Grandchildren; Tina Payne (David), Trina Rieck, Chris Karja (Michelle), Ryan Rieck (Christine), Nancy Richard (Paul), Ramona Rieck (Brian Davis), Courtney Westbrook, Ashley Westbrook (Justin Shuttleworth), Brittney Westbrook (Dion Gallant) and Zack Westbrook (Jessica Thornton). Her great grandchildren; Shanna, Aarron, Lianiah, Carson, Aizlann, Samantha, Tristan, Bryson, Gavyn, Braden, Prestyn, Mason, Nevaeh and Coltyn. Doris was born in Sainte Anne De Sabrevois Quebec to the late Olga and Lawrence Roy. Sister of the late Lawrence Roy (late Margaret), late Jeanne Farron (late Thomas), late Victor Roy (Audrey), Gilbert Roy (late Minnie) and the late Phylis Wescott (late Earl). Aunt to and great aunt to many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank her neighbour and friend Pat Fera for helping her out with little things and her friend Marlene Bailey for driving her to meetings. Family and Friends may call at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses (742 Third Line E) on Wednesday August 10, 2016. Memorial Service to be held at 2:00pm with Mr. Frank Verteramo officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society or the Sault Ste Marie Humane Society.
