Obituary for Lynn Lee Owl-Outinen (Blais)

With much heartache we announce the peaceful passing of our mom on January 25, 2016 at the age of 62, after a heroic battle with cancer. Surrounded by family, mom passed away in her Wabos home on a mild and wistful morning. Loving wife of the late Jack Outinen. She was a loving mom to Carrie Outinen, Judy Perry (Wayne), Brian Outinen and Tyler Outinen. Loving Nona to Jacob Outinen, Shiloh Outinen, Storm Perry, Starr Perry, Leanna Wabegijig, Finn Outinen and Poon-Li Outinen. Affectionate daughter of the late Wilfred Owl of Sagamok and Anne Blais (Carrie) of Spanish, and daughter of Laureat Blais (Marie Claire) of Quebec. Loving sister to Daniel Seguin (Pam), the late Lucille Moar (Art), Judy Ambeault (Brian), Laurie Blais (Helen), Jeannine Van Norman (John), France Tessier (Keith), Candy Kuschke (Ron), the late Claude Blais, Denis Blais (Joanne), Michele Blais (Louise) and Renee Caldwell (Julien). Awesome aunt to a multitude of nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews, and attentive and wonderful friend to many. She will be missed. A “Celebration of Life” ceremony will take place at the Royal Canadian Legion on Saturday (96 Great Northern Rd.), March 5, 2016 from 2 – 6 pm. It is a traditional ceremony consisting of a pot luck and giveaway. No pot, no luck, so please bring something to share! The family would like to give special thanks to Sheila Hamilton, Radiation Primary Nurse at Sault Hospital, Sierra Grey, RPN, and Sagamok Anishnawbek First Nation. Memorial donations in mom’s name can be made directly to Ronald McDonald House Charities or the Sault Ste. Marie Soup Kitchen.
