Daynes, Carmel Sally (nee Forbes)-
The family of Carmel Sally Daynes (nee Forbes), announce with great sadness, her early morning passing on Monday, November 26, 2018, at the age of 89. Carmel was predeceased by her husband Walter George Daynes, of 47 years, their daughters, Phyllis and Lana and their son, Walter Carmine (Carol) (late Micheline nee Joyal). Carmel is survived by: her grandchildren Christopher Pierre and Nicole Phyllis, her sister, Irene R Veale (late John L Veale), her nephews, Larry A Suriano (Susan) and John C Veale, her great nieces and nephews; Shari Miller (Paul), Pat Suriano (Erin), Adam and Brianne Veale and her great, great nieces and nephew, Sophie and Faye Miller, Dominic, Grace and Olivia Suriano. Carmel had a long, successful career in the Hospitality Industry where she excelled as Head Server for Barsanti’s Restaurant and the Royal Hotel’s dining room. She was proud of her husband Wally’s military service and supportive of his mastery of the violin, guitar and his many mouth organs. Carmel will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends for her courage, dignity, innovative style, optimistic personality and generosity. A family visitation will take place on Friday November 30, 2018 from 11-12:30 p.m. with a memorial service at 12:30 p.m to follow at O'Sullivan Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 215 St. James St, 705-759-8456. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
