Miller, William George –

Peacefully surrounded by his family, George passed away on Tuesday October 13, 2020 at the age of 93. Beloved husband of Theresa (nee Rossi) for 66 years of marriage. Cherished and much loved father of Anne Marie Premo, George Jr (Lil) and Joe (Iva). Proud Papa of Brandon (Jenna), Brianna, Christopher (Kayla), Anthony (Sabrina), Julia and Joey. Proud great Papa of Jacob, Brooklyn, Brinley, Denver, and Adriana.

Son of the late Herbert and Jessie Miller and son in law of Louise and Sam Rossi. Brother of the late Tini (Norman) Willson, Shirley (John) Ruggero, Betty (Jerry) Folz, Loretta (Joe) Belsito, Robert Miller, Leone (Louie) Vondette and Jim (Nellie) Miller. Brother in law of late Tony “Red” (Crystal) Rossi, Mary (Guy “Chippy”) Muio, Rosie (Bob) Hornell, Jean (Ken) Marshall. Uncle to many nieces and nephews within Canada and the United States.

George was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish, was a mentor to his children and grand children. He never missed any hockey games that his grandsons played in. He loved to spend time in his beautiful vegetable garden and loved to say hello to whoever walked by his home. He loved to spend time with his family at McCarrol’s Lake Camp in Echo Bay. He and his wife enjoyed travelling to Florida in the Winter’s after he retired from Algoma Steel serving 40 years of employment at the Stores Department.

George enjoyed his life with his family, friends and he especially enjoyed all the special holidays and special occasions with his family.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate his life at St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church on Monday October 19, 2020 from 10 – 11 a.m. Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Due to the current pandemic, 100 attendees may attend at the cemetery. Mandatory for everyone is the use of hand sanitizer, masks or face coverings and physical distancing of 2 meters unless members of the same household while at church.

Memorial donations would be greatly appreciated by the family to the ARCH (payable by cheque or online). The family would also like to thank from the bottom of their hearts, Dr. Blair Jarrett, Dr. Rassouli, Dr. Nicki Apostle, Dr. Jacqueline Lam for their show of compassion, respect and sympathy to George as well as nurse Paula, Mary Ellen at the SAH Cancer Clinic and to Laura, Nicole, Jennifer, Heather, Nori and all the excellent staff who took care of George at ARCH and to the nurse Andrea, Michelle and all the PSW Workers from Bayshore Health who came to his home to tend to our father and husband.

Arrangements entrusted to O’Sullivan Funeral Home, 215 St. James St, 705-759-8456.
