MERRIFIELD, William Verne Curtis ‘Bill’
Peacefully at ARCH on Sunday December 6, 2020 at the age of 69. Beloved husband of Nancy. Loving father of Dar (Rory) and Jay (Angela). Grandfather of Sami, Sage, Adam and Andrew. Predeceased by his parents Verne and Kathleen Merrifield. Brother of the late Laurie (late Bill) and Katy. Brother-in-law of Ray (Cathy) and Diane (Brian). Uncle to Joel, Jaymie, Rebecca, Justin and Mindy. Bill helped his Dad run Verne’s Hardware for many years. He was also the Disaster Response Unit Coordinator with the Canadian Red Cross for 15 years. Thank you to John and Toni, Adam and Amanda and Jenni for the care given to Bill. As per Bill’s request, there will be no visitation or services and cremation will take place. Memorial donations may be made payable to or online to the Canadian Red Cross (Sault Ste. Marie).
