It is with great sadness that we announce Velia's passing at home with family by her side on February 15th, 2022, at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late Antonio Martin. Loving mom of Doug Carpenter (Madeline Schaefer). Dear sister of Evelyn, Helen (friend Ronnie Huard), Barbara and Larry (Marita). Predeceased by her parents Erminia and Lorenzo Sangestini as well as siblings Emily, Albert, Joe, Stella and Rita. Cherished auntie to many nieces and nephews. Dear cousin to Angela Rose. Special friend to Barb Aelick.

Cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to visit at O'Sullivan Funeral Home on Saturday, February 19th, 2022, from 11:00 am until 12:30 pm. A funeral mass will be held at Precious Blood Cathedral at 1:00 pm with burial to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, face coverings must be worn, social distancing will be adhered to and proof of double vaccination will be required to attend both the visitation and the reception at O'Sullivan Funeral Home.
