Obituary

Nogalo, Dolly (Rosilyn Alice) (nee Vena)-
June 28, 1936-September 4, 2020

Passed away peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital with family by her side on September 4, 2020 at the age of 84. Adoring wife of the late Joseph Nogalo for 62 years. Loving mother of Jo-Ann Nogalo. Proud grandmother of Ashley Sicoly and to her grandpuppy, Kali. Predeceased by her parents Louis and Jeanine Vena. Beloved sister of the late Gary (Pat), David (Jennifer), Frankie (Wendy) and Wayne (Colleen). Dolly will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Dolly was loved by many people. She had such a beautiful soul with so much love to give. A woman with the best cooking, the best flowers, and the best heart. Dolly would light up the room anywhere she went. We will love you forever and know that you will be our guardian angel looking down on us. Sweet Dolly, may you rest in peace. We will always miss you, always love you, and always cherish you forever. Love Jo-Ann, Ashley and Jennifer Dumond and family.

Private Celebration of Life will be held for Dolly. We are very grateful for everybody that’s been a part of Dolly’s life and to those that have supported her after the passing of Joe.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society. Arrangements entrusted to O’Sullivan Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 215 St. James St, 705-759-8456.

I couldn't forget Douglas Dolly! How you absolutely loved him! He is very flattered that you thought he was so handsome and so nice. You always had the most beautiful compliments for him. He is extremely saddened; heart broken to have lost you. He adored you too. He always said you are such a sweet, beautiful woman. He was so very happy to have you in our home for dinner. We are both grateful to have spent that time with you. You make everything so special. He even shaved for you the other day because he knew you loved it when he did.
My mother and father prayed for you and Joe every night and I know you prayed for them as well. My dad must have been reaching out to you when you spoke to me about him on Wednesday. Wow! You two! He was so very touched when you cooked him a meal when my mother and I were in Toronto for my surgery. He spoke of it often; you touched his heart like you have touched all hearts who know you.
We miss you and love you 4ever.

Jo-Ann, Ashley: No words can take away the pain and loss I know you feel. I don't have the words to tell you how sorry I am or how heart-broken I am. Dolly will be missed in so many ways by so many people. I loved her from the day I met her 40 years ago. I will miss her laughter, her feisty spirit, our conversations. They might as well close the casino; it won't be the same without her! I am honoured that I was there with her, you and Ashley and that I was able to speak with her! Thank you for that! I am forever grateful that I was allowed to cook the "chef extravaganza" dinner last month! I was so nervous; but she loved it; what a compliment coming from Dolly! Dolly is a beautiful angel who has touched our lives in countless ways and she will soar higher and farther than we would ever imagine; into the arms of her mother, father and Joe and all those who went before her; into the peaceful arms of God. Her love will always be with you. I love you Dolly! 4ever Laurie Eby (Verdone)
