Obituary for Rose Marie Mantello (Savoy)
Mantello, Rose Marie (nee: Savoie) – Passed away peacefully at the age of 90 at the Sault Area Hospital with her daughter by her side. Rose was predeceased by her loving husband Frank and sons little Frankie and Paul (Marianne), as well as by her parents Alfonze Savoie and Yvonne “Jean” Doucette, her brother Alfred Savoie and her sisters Jacqueline Lambert and Jeanette Byatt.
Rose is survived by her daughter Susan Mantello-Abraham (Julius) and sons Phillip, and Peter (Kazue), and daughter-in-law Brenda (Art). Rose was so proud of her eight grandchildren Alexis Mantello-Clement (Joey), Farah, Julius Abraham III (Imke), Meisha Rosetto (Mark), Natasha Abraham , Michael (Lisa) Julien (Alisia), Elvis, and her five great-grandchildren Nikolas, Brett, Emmylou, Maximus, and Maverick. Rose will be remembered for her selfless devotion to her family, for all the wonderful meals and baking she so lovingly created, and for her passion for reading and her love of classic film.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the War Amps Canada (payable to) would be greatly appreciated by the family. Rose’s family extends a special thank you to all the staff at Sault Area Hospital for their kindness and care. We will always fondly remember our sweet, beautiful Rose.
