Obituary for Roland Cornacchi

Cornacchi, Roland Anthony “Rolly”-
It is with deep sadness that family of Rolly announces his peaceful passing at the Sault Area Hospital with family by his side.

He leaves behind the love of his life and best friend, Judy (nee Pidgen), just celebrating 60 years of marriage. Cherished dad of Joe Cornacchi (Louise), Lisa Nardo (John), Cathy Falsetto (Josh) and Marty Cornacchi (Sylvie). Proud papa of Amanda Cornacchi, Elyse Nardo (Ty), Kyle and Adam Cornacchi. Reunited with his family, his parents, Emillio & Yolanda, his siblings, baby Louise, Angela Dorans and Frankie (late Vera). Surviving brother in law of Bernie Dorans and sister in law, Stella Swift (late Charlie), Dennis Pidgen (Sharon) and late Gary (Marcia). Uncle to many.

Community was important to dad, and he liked to volunteer, especially driving the oncology van to Sudbury. His grand doggers, Sammy, Ivy and Maizey held a special place in his heart. Dad enjoyed playing hockey, baseball and golf with friends but above all, he loved spending time with his family.

A heartfelt thank you to our family and friends for their kindness and support there past few weeks, especially to Isabel and Ron, for your endless help. Also thank you to the angels on 3C for your care and compassion. Your kindness did not go unnoticed. Judy would like to thank her son in laws, John and Josh, for their love and support as well as Stella, for always being there.

To honour our dad’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Mass will be held at Precious Blood Cathedral (778 Queen St. E, S.S.M, ON) on Saturday August 13, 2022, at 11:00 a.m.. Following the Mass, a gathering will be held at the Elks Lodge until 3:00 p.m., where he was a long time member.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made Tracey’s Dream or ARCH (payable by cheque or online).

Visit www.osullivanfuneralhome.com to leave condolences for the family. Arrangements entrusted to O’Sullivan Funeral Home (215 St James Street, Sault Ste. Marie, ON, P6A 1P7, 705-759-8456).

Dad will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family and friends. Though he is gone, he will never be forgotten. We love you dad!
