Obituary for Robert Earl Haskett

Haskett, Robert “Bob” Earl-
January 29, 1946 – January 31, 2021

On January 31, 2021, a rainbow was outside your window at the hospital, I told you it was time to go, your family was waiting. Son of late Winnie & Earl Haskett, brother of late Joan Seccareccia, Gary, and Randy Haskett. His sister, Pat Vena carries on the Haskett family memories. Bob, you leave us behind with so many memories of you. Quiet, soft spoken, kind and lived, laughed, and loved life. He loved his daughter, best friend, Randylin Pearson Babic and greatest love, “Dido”, to granddaughter Nena Marley Babic, he loved you all to the moon and back. Gary Babic, son, fishing and maple leaf’s buddy. Brother in law to Randy Rose, hunting memories and being there for us. Many nieces and nephews, he loved you all.
Bob worked till he was 70 at Boniferro’s sawmill. He never forgot his friends there. Bingo was his passion in his later years, he loved his family and friends there.
Big thanks to Barb Robinson for wellness calls and being there for me and Bob.
Nick Svazich, you held his hands near the end, brothers forever and friends for life.
Thank you to his niece, Nicky Doan & Rick, you held his hands, talked to him, comforted him on his last night on earth. He wasn’t alone, much love.
My heart is breaking, I lost my best friend, fishing, hunting, bingo, and dancing partner of 37 years. It was just you and me to the end Bob. I loved you with all my heart, Randalin Rose, I will always be your Rosie Forever.
You fought cancer, but dementia took you from me, so it’s time “to go down to the river”, fish and hunt forever my love.
A Celebration of Bob’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to ARCH or the charity of your choice.
