It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, nonna and bisnonna. Predeceased by her soul mate and husband Francesco. Most loving mother of the late Silvana, Rossana, and the late Frankie. Adored nonna of Emilia, Angela (Darryl) and Giuseppe. Loving bisnonna of Francesco. Predeceased by her parents Gaetano and Saveria Giordano and in-laws Santo and Rosina Fortino. Predeceased by her siblings: Teresa Gaudio, Marietta Presta, Agata Presta, Angelina Pacifico, Eugenio Giordano, Salvatore Giordano, Lauretta Greco, Michele Giordano, and Giuseppe Giordano. Sister-in-law of Ida Gatto (Michele) Hamilton, and predeceased by Virginia Bozzo, Annina Filice, Giuseppe Fortino and Michele Fortino. Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews and will be remembered by her many family and friends near and far. A private family service will be held on Monday, June 22, 2020 with Father Paul Conway officiating. The family would like to express their gratitude to all the caregivers: Dr. Jenkins, Dr. Shafiee, Dr. Chung and the late Dr. M. Febbraro. PSW’s Laurie, Rachel and Maude, nurse Mike, physiotherapist Alan, SAH nurse Angel and all the caring nurses and staff at the Sault Area Hospital. In lieu of flowers, memorial donation to the Algoma Regional Community Hospital (ARCH) would be greatly appreciated by the family.
