Obituary for Richard Carl Schneider
SCHNEIDER, Richard Carl--July 28, 1945-April 16, 2020
In loving memory of my husband Richard, who passed peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital at the age of 74. Survived by his wife Mary (nee O’Dell) of 53 years. Dear father of Rick (Nancy) and the late Rob Schneider. Proud grandfather of Mikhayla (Greg) and Kyle Schneider. Predeceased by his parents Glenn and Vera Schneider of Las Vegas, Nevada. Dear brother of the late Shirley Johnson. Dear uncle of Leslie and Tim Leisch, Sharean and Dan Rye, the late Glenn Johnson, Jeremie (Angela) O’Dell and Jennifer Waldenberger (Tim). Richard passed away suddenly; he fought a short courageous battle. Richard served in the American Air Force as Staff Sergeant at the Kincheloe Air Force Base where he met his wife Mary. He then worked for the Sault Ste. Marie City Board of Works where he made many friends. Richard enjoyed his retirement with his family and spent a lot of time outdoors. The family would like to thank the staff in the ICU Unit and on 3C of the Sault Area Hospital for the care given to Richard. The family would also like to thank all of their friends who have been for them during this time. In respect of Richard’s wishes, cremation will take place. There will be no visitation or service. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Donations can be made to ARCH in Richard’s memory. Richard treasured all of his family. His pride was always his sons and his greatest gift was his grandchildren.
