Obituary for Randall Ned Doda
Doda (Ciaschini), Randall “Randy”-
Passed away peacefully with his family at his side after a short battle with cancer at Algoma Residential Community Hospice on September 17th at the age of 61.
Loving husband to Wendy for 22 years. Proud father to Connor. Randy leaves behind his brothers Rob (Holly) and Brian, sisters Sharon (Gerry) and Donna; his stepfather Ian Lockton, and is predeceased by his mother Helen Doda, his father Len Ciaschini, stepfather Casey Doda, and brother Casey Jr. Brother-in-law to Lorrie and Calvin Shelleby, Chris Gaspar (Janice) and the late Michael Gaspar (Maureen). Proud uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Randy worked for almost 30 years at IBM happily travelling around the world and will be remembered as a manager and friend who mentored many people selflessly. In his retirement he continued to develop his creative talents of carving, painting, photography, and music, and was modest about all of his achievements. He loved to travel, golf and fish whenever he could. He loved all of his close friends and they should take such comfort in that.
A heartfelt special thank you goes out to the caring staff and nurses of ARCH, Bayshore and SAH; Drs. Booth and Spadafora; and all the family and friends who provided support and love during this time. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to celebrate Randy’s life.
