Rachel was a dedicated mother who treasured her children and embraced every moment with them until the day she passed into our memories and gained her butterfly wings on February 2, 2020. Devoted and loving mother of Jerzey, Bryson, Alyssa, and Billy. Loving wife of Phil Smith. Cherished daughter of Kim Elsbury, Paavo Pollari, and Jim Grisdale (Allison). Caring big sister of Dan Grisdale (Cassi), Joe Grisdale (Kathy), Kylie Grisdale (Johnathon), Sarah Lay (Ron), Jacob Pollari (Rachel), Paavo Pollari (Nicole), Axel Pollari, Avery Pollari, Olivia Pollari. Daughter in law of Jerry and Janet Smith and sister in law of Craig Smith. Adored granddaughter of George Jahner, Betty Grisdale (late Dale), Paavo and Marjatta Pollari. Remembered and loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She will always be remembered as a witty, confident woman who always put her loved ones ahead of herself. Rachel’s infectious laugh will ring forever in our minds as we live by her favorite expression “it’s ok, everything will be fine”. A private ceremony will be held for close family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday February 13, 2020 from 5-8pm at The Garden River Community Centre located at 7 Shingwauk Street, Garden River, everyone is welcome, even children.
