Obituary for Philip Edwin Theriault

THERIAULT, Philip Edwin

Philip Edwin Theriault passed away at the F. J. Davey Home, in Sault Ste. Marie Ontario, on February 3, 2020 at the age of 75. Predeceased by his spouse Patricia. Eldest of eleven children, of the late Eugene and Margaret Theriault. Father of Christine, Phil, and Michelle. Philip was a loving brother of Anne Marie Cerra (Peter), Gene Paul (Rosetta), Susie Barsanti (Dolph), Liz (Gus) and Marc (Shannon). He was predeceased by his siblings Paula Orlando (late Bob), Steve, Vincent, Neil, and Janine. Philip will be sadly missed by his numerous nieces and nephews. He had a great passion for sports, was a very good pool player, and an avid outdoors man. He especially loved fishing and duck hunting. He was a fixture for many years on our local boardwalk; his favourite fishing spot of all. Philip worked at Eli's Billiards Cigar Store Hunting and Fishing Supplies, on Gore Street, with his father, as a youth and adult while working full-time at Algoma Steel (34 years). Special thanks, for the exceptional care given, by all staff on the 2nd Floor in the Birch Lane wing of the Davey Home. Funeral services have taken place at Precious Blood Cathedral (778 Queen St. E), with Rev. Hamish Currie officiating. Interment in Holy Sepulchre followed.
