Obituary for Anne Daley Sanderson
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Anne Daley Sanderson on May 10, 2023, at the age of 77, surrounded by her loving family. Anne is survived by her husband, Cliff Sanderson, her two sons, Brian Burns (Carey) and Stephen Burns (Sharon), her grandson, Jack Burns, her brother, Dennis Daley (Noella), nephew Michael Daley (Jill), and niece Dianna Cober and many dear friends.
Anne was born on June 9, 1945, in Sudbury, Ontario, to Cecil and Berthe Daley. She grew up in Blind River, Ontario before moving to Sault Ste. Marie in 1966. Anne worked at Community First Credit Union formerly ASC for 28 years. She married Cliff Sanderson in 1993. She adored her grandson, Jack, and was proud of all of his accomplishments.
Anne had a passion for baking and cooking. She enjoyed shopping and was a frequent patron of factory outlets and malls. She had a wide circle of friends who loved her infectious laughter, kind heart and engaging storytelling. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Anne wanted to thank her nurse Holly at ParaMed, and all the doctors and nurses at the Sault Area Hospital Palliative Care Unit that cared for her.
Anne will be cremated, and an informal Celebration of Life will be on Friday, May 12, 2023, from 3pm - 7pm at Johnny’s Chophouse - Banquet Room, 180 Bay St, Sault Ste. Marie. We will raise a toast to Anne, and comfort one another in both a celebration of her life and the acknowledgement of the sorrow of her passing. We truly hope you can make it. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sault Area Hospital Foundation - Palliative Care Fund in Anne's memory.
