Obituary for Norman Charles Dobson

DOBSON, Norman Charles
August 1, 1929 – September 25, 2021
Norman passed away peacefully at the Golden Birches Terrace in Blind River on September 25, 2021 at the age of 92.
Predeceased by his beloved wife of 28 years, Grace (2013). Dear father of Bonnie (Stan), Jerry (Maggie), Doreen, Kim (John), Jamie (Rose), and Dean. He leaves behind his grandchildren; the late Tricia (2003), Lisa (Jay), John (Isabelle), Nikki (Mike), Bill (Stephanie), Ashley (Justin), James (Heidi), Andrew, Mike (Missy), Candace, Stacey (Gord), Justin (Kate), Jennifer (Kyle), Chris (Amber), Trevor and Zackery. He also leaves behind 20 great grandchildren and is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Norm was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers for over 50 years. For many years he owned and operated The Viking Tent and Trailer Park in Iron Bridge. He also enjoyed tending to his large vegetable garden.
He hosted many family reunions and pig roasts and one of his greatest joys was jamming out with his brothers and sisters on their guitars and belting out country tunes. There were many fun filled get togethers and hold many happy memories.

A private family service will take place and may be viewed on Zoom on Thursday September 30, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. (using this Link https://us02web.zoom.us/j/88395612325?pwd=bDBLOVRWN0dPd3BsZ1dwUTBRMlpxdz09 and Passcode 476405). Family and friends are invited to a public graveside service on Thursday September 30, 2021, meeting at the cemetery chapel for 11:45 a.m. and procession to the graveside at 12:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Canada would be appreciated by the family (payable online or by cheque).
