Obituary for Natalie Dawn Halloran (Mangum)

It is with profound sadness that the family of Natalie Halloran (nee Mangum) announce her passing on January 10th, 2023, after a sudden illness. She was 72. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Toby of 49 years. Cherished mother of Laura (Michael), Alex (Meghan), and Blayne. Treasured Grandma to Cassady (Jared), Eric, Isabelle, and Meredith. Dear Grandma to fur babies Mika, Hunter, Zipper, Leo, and Cousteau, and her great grand fur babies Sherman and Stella.

Natalie was the eldest daughter of the late Wilfred Mangum, Jean Mangum (Stepmother), and Eva Craig (Mother).

Beloved sister to Melody (the late Jamie) Curran and Leslie (Michael) Coughlin. Dear daughter in law to the late Toby and Sis Halloran. Near and dear to her heart were her Hartland, New Brunswick family. Natalie treasured her Nova Scotia Family and many Sydney visits.

Natalie enjoyed her career at the Bank of Nova Scotia, where she worked for over 30 years. She was always happy to meet and help her customers. She was honoured with the ‘Best of the Best’ award at several points in her tenure.

Natalie loved spending summers at Clear Lake Campground, especially with her grandchildren. They were her true passion once they came along, and she played an active role in their lives.

Toby and Nat were avid card players, and she will be sorely missed by their many friends. Natalie could often be found on her iPad, whether playing games or facetiming with her friends and family. She loved deeply and was never shy to express her thoughts and feelings. She was one of a kind.

To honour Natalie’s wishes, there will be no service.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Sault Area Hospital for their care, especially the Emergency department Doctors and Dr. Sharpe and team on 3A.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Sault Area Hospital Foundation (payable online or by cheque) would be appreciated by the family.
