WELK, Micheline (nee Côté)
Peacefully at home with family by her side after a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday February 18, 2020 at the age of 70. Beloved wife of Percy. Loving mother of Dan (Cécile) and Jamie (Laurie). Grandma Micheline to Kendra, Christapher, Emiley and Kayla. It is comforting to know that she is now in the arms of her Maman & Papa, Angéline and Paul-Emile Côté who were there waiting for her. Sister of Louise St. Eloi (Clarence) and Denise Côté (late Herb Loeper). She will be missed by Mike who was a dear nephew to Micheline, along with his wife Louisa and their son Marc. As per Micheline’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will not be any visitation or services. Thank you to Mike, Louisa and Marc for everything that they did to welcome Micheline and Percy to Sault Se. Marie. Thank you to Sam and Marcy as being great neighbors and helping Micheline and Percy on a daily basis. The family would also like to thank her homecare workers, Dr. Wilson and the Sault Area Hospital Cancer Clinic for the care given to her. Micheline was very fond of birds, especially hummingbirds and she really enjoyed feeding them. During her lifetime, Micheline loved and owned many canine friends, so in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society or the Sault Area Hospital Cancer Care Fund.
