JACKSON, Michael Wayne –
Michael Wayne Jackson passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at the age of 68.
Cherished father of Barbara, Big Mike, Julie, T.J., Christina and Little Mike. Adored grandfather of many. Special great grandfather of 16.
Reunited with his parents, Michael Taylor and Mable Jackson as well as his many siblings. Left behind are his two sisters Carol and Shirley. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
For over 20 years, Michael worked as a mechanic. He loved working on vehicles, especially his trucks and had his own shop in Goulais. Truck driving and driving on the open road was his happy place.
Michael adored his children. He loved spending time with them and watching them grow into the people they are today. He also loved his sisters; he was the lunchmeat to their sandwich.
Thank you to his healthcare team, Dr. Jenifer Patterson and Bayshore. To his nephews, Frankie and Leo, thank you for staying connected with Michael. A huge thank you to Michael’s daughter, Christina, who played a huge role in his life, especially taking care of him over the last few years.
In following with Michael’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, from 6:00p.m to 9:30p.m. Memorial donations made to Diabetes Canada or the Sault Area Hospital Foundation – Renal Care Fund would be greatly appreciated by the family (payable by cheque).
