It is with great sadness that the family of Mauro Bernabucci announces his passing at the Sault Area Hospital on Monday, February 24, 2020 at the age of 83 years. Beloved husband of Felicia Bernabucci for 61 years. Deeply loved father of Dina (Wayne) and Marco (Tammy) Bernabucci. Proud Nonno of Sarah and Marco (Rosanna) Bernabucci, Shania and Devon Turco. Bis-Nonno of Gabriele Mauro and Lia Felicia Bernabucci. Best friend to his dogs, Zoey and the late Benny and Weeka. Born July 5, 1936 in Cartoceto, Italy to the late Aldo and Dina Bernabucci. Cherished Brother of Enrico (Bruna) Bernabucci of Italy. Son-in-law of the late Theresa Sirianni. Zio Mauro to many nieces and nephews. He will be fondly missed by many friends, especially Jack and Emilia Alves, John and Alita McDougall and Janice Ginter. Special thank you to his doctors for their exceptional care. A huge thank you to the nurses on 3C and 3A at the Sault Area Hospital, especially Tyson. As per Mauro’s wishes there will be no service. A Celebration of Life Come and Go will be held at Bucci’s Place Eatery (3241 Hwy 17B, Echo Bay) on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Memorial donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
