Our dear Mom passed away peacefully on April 9th at the F.J. Davey Home in her 92nd year and just shy of her 66th anniversary. Much loved wife of Reginald (Bill), loving mother of Jim (Erin), Mary (Rick), and John (Sharon). She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren, James, Ian, Michael (Alicia), Mark (Jessica), Alicia, Ashley (Shawn) and by her great-grandchildren, Blake and Brielle.
Mom is predeceased by her parents, Dr. Frederick and Ethel Grady. She is also predeceased by her sisters, Patricia Grady and Helen Marie Furlong, and survived by her youngest sister, Carol Grady.
Her degree in Economics and English from the University of Western Ontario gave Mom a hearty appetite for business, politics and reading all genres of books. She had a healthy opinion on any given topic. Her love of travel took her to some far reaching destinations until arthritis made that a little more challenging. She loved to entertain; cocktail parties, dinner parties and even tea parties were frequent. Her greatest gift was her generosity of time, either with charity work or most especially, spending quality time with her grandchildren. She had a very special bond with each of them.
Special thanks to the staff on Driftwood 2 at the Davey Home for their kindness and compassion in caring for Mom. Memorial donations in Mom’s name may be made to the F.J. Davey Home Foundation, with direction to the Meals on Wheels program.
Cremation has taken place. Interment to take place at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to O’Sullivan Funeral Home
