It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Maria on Monday August 23, 2021, after a long battle with Parkinson Disease at the age of 76.
Maria was the devoted wife of Ernesto for 58 years. She will be forever missed by her daughters Susie (Sam Spadafora), Luisa (Jamie Maycock), Sandra (Spencer Ross), and Lori-Ann. She was the cherished and loving Nana to Serena Pino (Justin), Sierra Watling (Brenden), Ben Maycock, Josh Maycock, Elliot Ross and proud Bisnonna to Nathan Pino and Lily Watling.
Maria was the daughter of the late Emilio and Giuseppina Mauro; beloved sister to the late Vincenzo, late Pasquale (late Annina), late Antonio (late Linda), and the late Mario (Cheryl). She was the cherished sister-in-law to the late Dora Fiore (late Pietro), Ada Bozzo (Eugenio), Nina Brunone (late Silvio) and the late Alfredo.
Zia (Auntie) Maria will be sadly missed by all her nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to O’Sullivan Funeral Home on Thursday August 26, 2021, from 10:30am-12:30pm. (Masks and social distancing are required). A Funeral Mass will follow at St. Gregory’s Church (71 Estelle St) at 1:00pm with Father Trevor Scarfone officiating. Entombment in Holy Sepulchre Mausoleum.
The family would like to sincerely thank all the wonderful staff at the F.J. Davey Home, 2nd Floor Cedar Grove Unit for all the love and compassion they showed to our beloved Maria.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations (payable to or online to) to the Parkinson Society or the F.J. Davey Home Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
