On September 30th, 2022, in her 83rd year, at the Ontario Finnish Resthome, Maria left us and took a piece of our hearts with her. Daughter of the late Nicola and Antonia Corrado. Beloved wife of the late Frank Fabiano. Loving mother to Tony Fabiano, Joe (Stacey) Fabiano and loving stepmother to Nick (Tanya) Fabiano and Liz Fabiano. Loving “Nonna” to the joys of her life, Sophia, Grace and Carter Fabiano. Sister to late Caterina (Vincenzo), the late Chiara (Domenico), the late Giuseppe (Giuseppa), the late Antonio (Leanora), and Dominic (Vincenza) all from Chiaravalle Centrale (Catanzaro), Italy. Sister-in-law to the late Liberata and Antonio Pitaro, late Peter and Lina Fabiano, late Graziano Gulli and Grazia Gulli all of Sault Ste. Marie. She will be remembered by many nieces and nephews in Chiaravalle and Sault Ste. Marie.

Family and friends are invited to O’Sullivan Funeral Home (215 St. James St.) on Tuesday October 11, 2022, from 10:00am-11:00am. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:30am at St. Gregory’s Church (71 Estelle St) officiated by Father Trevor Scarfone. Entombment Holy Sepulchre Mausoleum.

To Dr. Lisa Perry and all the staff of the Ontario Finnish Resthome, there are no words to express our deepest appreciation for the extraordinary care, courtesy, compassion and dignity, you showed to our mother (whom you all referred to as “Bella”), and to us her family. Thank you for the quality of life you provided to the end!
