Obituary for Lydia Doreen Del Bianco (Cabral)

Del Bianco, Lydia (nee Cabral)-

It is hard to express our profound sadness as we announce now the passing of our wonderful Mother Lydia DelBianco on December 8 2020. Predeceased by her beloved husband and Sweetheart Lou DelBianco.

Beloved Mother of Deborah Kaye (Jan), Rhonda Cartner (Raymond), David Cartner (Dawn) and Robin Conroy (Dan) and Father-in-law to John Regan and Bill Stamm. Dear Grandmother ‘Vovie’ to Rychard (Alysha), Ryan (Jen), Tim (Azra), Betina (Mike), Daniel (Jenna) and Juliana. Great ‘Vovie’ of six.

Our Mother was Bermuda born and though she travelled far from it, she remained an ‘Island Girl’ with strong ties to her family and she never lost her Bermuda ways. We grew up with the values she herself was raised with, her thoughtful, selfless attention and quiet dignity surrounding us for all of her days. Our mother stood by the weak, spoke up for the wounded, took the hand of those despairing, and stood quietly but near anybody who needed support. She was constant and loyal and good, and we were so fortunate to have her.

We would like to extend our thanks to all of the Staff at the Davey Home, on Cedar One. It gave us great comfort to know that she was in Safe Hands during her two year stay there. Our heartfelt thanks to Patti Cowan, who gave our mother her unconditional devotion and affection during her time of need, there are no words that can properly express our gratitude. You were her Angel there is no doubt. Thanks to the Bayshore Nurses for their care and compassion when Mom came home. We would also like to thank Dan Gagnon from Flowers for You.

Together in life, and now on a new adventure, you are with your Sweetheart again. Love you forever.
