Obituary for Lorraine Cright
Passed away unexpectedly at home with her sister Alinda by her side on October 11, 2023, at the age of 76.
Survived by her loving husband Clayton Cright. Mother to Wade (Tricia), Vicky (Scott), and Gerry (Tracy). Nana to Keesha, Carlie, Kenzie, Ethan and Great Nana to Kora and John-Ross (Jr).
Predeceased by her parents Captain Percy McMinn and Nancy McMinn (nee White). Sister to Alinda Swanson (late Bob & late Jerry) and Allan McMinn. Predeceased by siblings Alma (late John) Nelson, Wayne (Sally) McMinn, Freddy McMinn, and Cathy McMinn. Predeceased by Fred and Irene Cright. Survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Lorraine was a kindhearted woman who would go out of her way to take care of those around her. She prided herself in being a mother, nana, and great nana. She filled her family with so much love and kindness. This same love could be seen in her vibrant gardens, which she was well known for.
A Celebration of Life will take place on November 4, 2023 at the Elks Lodge 341 (216 Bay Street, SSM) from 4:00pm - 8:00pm.
The family would like to thank the Sault Ste. Marie Police as well as the EMS who helped on that tragic night.
