Obituary for Lois "Sue" See

It’s with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of our loving mother. Lois passed peacefully with her loving daughters by her side on May 24, 2023, in her 83rd year, after a brief stay at ARCH.
Mom has missed dad every day for 17 years and is now reunited with the love of her life. We're sure he asked, "Mother, what took you so long?"
Mom was the strongest woman we know and was always there for each of us. There was never a problem that couldn’t be solved with a phone call to mom.
She always knew the perfect things to say, and it didn't matter what she was doing, her daughters and granddaughters were always given her undivided attention.
Lois tried very hard to stay with us to spend one more summer at her happiest place on earth, at camp in Goulais Bay. She so badly wanted to see her two newest great grandsons enjoy the water there.
Mom loved various crafts and excelled at everything she put her mind to. Her most recent endeavour was Quilling. Anyone who saw her work was amazed at how very talented she was.
Getting to spend these last few months surrounded by friends and family was a magical gift to all of us. Visits and phone calls from everyone meant the world to mom. We are so grateful for all the love and support of family, friends, and neighbours who were always there for her and helped her to fulfill her wish of staying independent in her home.
Lois's pride and joy were her daughters Debbie Trottier (Alex), Cathy See (Jim), Susan See (Sylvain) and her sweetheart dog Polly. Grandchildren Chelsee Cranston (Robbie), Shelby Trottier (Eric), Bryden See and Kylely Dunn (David). Great grandchildren Jayden and Brody Cranston and Everette Koshowski. Predeceased by her parents Basil and Lois Byers as well as her brothers Tod and Alwyn Byers. Loving Aunt to many nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Lois's wish, there will be no funeral.
A graveside Inurnment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery on Friday, June 9, 2023, at 10:00 am with Mrs. Helen Smith officiating. If you wish to attend, please meet at the Cemetery Office (27 Fourth Line E, SSM) for 9:50 am. We will then process together to the graveside. As per the familys wishes, there will be no post reception or get together following.
Memorial donations in memory of Lois can be made to the SSM Humane Society or ARCH. (Payable online or by cheque).
