Obituary for Linda Maria Grandinetti (Levert)

It is with heavy hearts that we share news of the passing of Linda Grandinetti following a lengthy battle with polycythemia, a rare blood cancer on July 17, 2022, at ARCH. She is survived by her doting husband Ralph, who cared for her lovingly in her final years. Mother of Mark (Kelly) and Grandmother to Audrey. Linda will be fondly remembered for the love, support, and kindness she demonstrated over her 73 years. She leaves behind a sister Judy (mother of Nicole) and brother-in-law Guy (father of Tristan and Danielle).

Whether it be sharing her love of baking, hosting holiday get-togethers or simply gathering with loved ones for tea/coffee, she always liked having company. Over the years she enjoyed frequent vacations with family to nearby places in the United States and also had the opportunity to visit Chicago, New York and Las Vegas with her best friend Sandra. Linda spoke often and fondly of the Beatles concert she attended as a teen with her close relatives in the Detroit area, with whom she always stayed in touch.

A dedicated teacher in her younger years, Linda touched the lives of many. With a penchant for decorating, she went on to establish her own successful business selling silk flowers, plants, and trees, adding to peoples' enjoyment of the holidays by creating handmade wreaths and centerpieces.

We take solace in knowing that she is no longer in pain and will be reunited with her mother and father (Norm and Helen Levert) and many cherished aunts, uncles and cousins who have gone before her. We love you and will miss you Mom!

We are forever grateful to her family physician Dr. Stewart who ensured she received the best of care and the amazing staff and volunteers at ARCH Hospice, where she spent her final days. At Linda's request, a formal service will not be held. Memorial donations may be made to ARCH (payable online or by cheque).
