Obituary

BERTIN, Larry

It is with great sadness that we announce Larry’s peaceful passing at his home on Saturday, July 27, 2019, in his 62nd year. He will be remembered by the love of his life and best friend for 26 years Sandra Anich. Loving father of Rayna (Tyler) and Papa to his pride and joy Daysha and Cameron. Beloved son of the late Albert and Rose Bertin. Brother of Gerry Breckenridge (Ken), late Maurice Bertin, Judy Champagne (Ron), Karen Bertin and Sharon Carrier. Larry will be fondly missed by many nieces and nephews, as well as Doris Anich (late John), Walter Anich, Alan (Monique) Anich and Shirley Klieber (Erwin). At Larry’s request a private family gathering was held. The family would like to thank Dr. Yee, Dr. Amahal, Dr. Stadnick, Dr. Spadafora and all the nursing staff that took care of Larry over the years. In lieu of flowers Larry requests donations to be made to University of the Ottawa Heart Institute (https://foundation.ottawaheart.ca/ways-give/donate-now) or for those unable to donate please give the gift of blood.

i had the privilege of working with this man----great work ethics and funny as no one i had ever meet before---a real quick wit and a joke in his pocket---he could impersonate anyone..i was lucky enough to go out and party and a have a great time with this man.we spoke on the phone and he would have me in stitches yet he was going through so much in his medical life .i will truly miss this great soul and so lucky to have known him and spend time with.take care my friend---and thank you for making me laugh .tony pagnotta

My condolences to all. I am so saddened to hear of Larry's passing. I was fortunate enough, many years ago, to sneak into the bars and watch Larry play in his band, and even more fortunate to share the stage with him for a number of years later on. One of the most talented and loving musicians the Sault has seen, and an even more incredible man. He will forever be missed. RIP Larry.
