Obituary for Kellene Vera Martell (Borowski)
Martell, Kellene Vera “Kelly”
Passed away peacefully on June 9th, 2020, in the afternoon
at the Algoma Regional Community Hospice, in her 75th year. She was born on August 17th,
1945 in Hamilton, Ontario to Vera Wilson and Michael Borowski.
Long time Manitouwadge, Ontario residents, she and her loving husband Whittle, married
47 years, relocated to Sault Ste. Marie to be closer to family mid 2019.
In addition to her husband, Kelly is survived by her beloved daughters, Rebecca and
Rachel, and son Joshua, and her four grandchildren, Caleb, Alyssa, Isaiah and Elijah; who all
loved her dearly.
Kelly was preceded in death by her sister, Debbie, and brother, Gord and survived by
siblings Glenn, Joyce, Judy, Roy, and Lorraine.
She was a talented barber, devoted mother and wife, impeccable homemaker, and an
incredible friend. Kelly will be remembered by her family and friends for her strong faith,
excellent cooking, and her fantastic sense of humor.
Thank you to the nurses and amazing staff at the ARCH hospice for your first-rate care
and gentle treatment. Thank you, Dell and Lynn for the encouragement and laughter you
brought. Thank you, Roy and Sharon Borowski, Amanda Borowski and Vic Alfano, for your
tremendous love and support, especially this last year.
